Elements of Silence and Shadows

This exhibition addressed the temporal and spatial nature of time.  Looking specifically at the period between finishing a Masters degree in Art Therapy and commencing a career as an Art Therapist.  The academic and practical knowledge gained through the degree becomes the silent backdrop to the shadows one encounters.  The work considers what remains constant and what changes when placing fixed objects within a transient visual space, thereby challenging the perceived fluidity of time.

This was a collaborative project by Bethan Stracy-Burbridge and Janet Havemann Bowser.
